Last Sunday I went to visit Whitefriar Church with my parents, and we read that St Valentine’s Day is supposed to announce the beginning of spring & the beginning of the courtship season for birds. :)
Talking about romantic…. While my parents visited me here in Dublin, they stayed at the Roganstown Hotel in Swords. They picked this hotel because they’ve heard that it was very romantic: lovely location in the middle of the typical green Irish countryside, gorgeous spa on-site and cozy bedrooms. After all they were here for Valentine’s Day, right?! And they weren’t disappointed!

Romantic Sunset Planning any trips or visits for St Valentine’s with your beloved? Are you going to do the same as last year (if it worked)? Something like this: breakfast in bed, a long bath together, a great dinner or a stay at a small cozy hotel… I just hope it won’t be like the year before: Coffee in a romantic bar, Cinema, after what we had a long walk in the winter cold, than we had dinner at a very nice Pizza Restaurant, and we exchange presents (I got an IPod whereas he got a bracelet). A weekend Escape to Enfield, Co Meath…

The Hamlet Court Hotel is located in Johnstownbridge which is a quaint village on the border between county Kildare and county Meath. It really is a cute little village as I always used to pass through it as I was on my way somewhere else but this time I stopped and stayed there and I was glad I did!
