Exploring the Ring of Kerry

Last weekend, I went to County Kerry with one of my friend. We wanted to discover the famous Ring of Kerry, part of the Wild Atlantic Way! On Friday night we took the Dublin coach to Killarney and we have joined another friend that was already there. We rented a car and we went to discover this County on Saturday morning. We first stopped in the Killarney National Park with the Muckross House and beautiful park. Then, we went to Torc Waterfall, a famous place to visit. After a heavy rain the day before, the waterfall was even more beautiful!

Discovering Dublin pubs

Last Saturday night, I visited few Dublin pubs with my friends. We all wanted to discover some traditional and typical Irish pubs with traditional music, food and drinks obviously!

Our first pub was the O’Neills Pub, close to the Statue of Molly Malone. This is a really big pub. After a few minutes going upstairs and downstairs, we finally found a free table (it was quite difficult!) where I tasted the famous and excellent Guinness.

Bray – gateway to the Gardens of Ireland

This weekend, I have visited the lovely town of Bray, which is also known as a gateway to the Gardens of Ireland. We took the train at Connolly Station in Dublin and few minutes later we discovered a very beautiful town on the water front with its pebbles beach and bars with sea view…

Weekend away experiencing Ireland Ancient East

Dublin – Wicklow – Kilkenny – Cork

Last weekend, I decided to discover a bit of the Ireland Ancient East in only 2 days as my brother came over to visit me in Ireland. We have rented a car and Wicklow was our first stop. Before we got there we stopped at incredible Powerscourt Waterfall and Lough Tay in the Wicklow National Park. You cannot miss this lake before leaving Ireland, the landscape was one of breathtaking beauty with mountains as far as your eyes can see!

Experiencing Achill Island

When I first came to Ireland, I lived in Dublin for a few months. I really enjoyed my time in the capital city but I knew that capitals are never really representative of a country… so a year after going back to France I decided to visit Ireland again but this time I wanted to discover the Irish way of life, its culture and Celtic history.

My first trip to County Galway

Before coming to Ireland, I really didn’t know much about this country. I knew that Ireland is always green and people who live here love Guinness. Ireland will be my home for next 4 months, and I am looking forward to discovering exiting cities, new lifestyles and beautiful landscapes.
